Vote NO on Constitutional Amendment 1 in Kentucky!

What is the issue?

Kentucky has a ballot amendment in November to ban noncitizen voting – which is already not allowed by law and, when violated, could be met with any number of penalties from fines to deportation to prison time.

What is the amendment?

Constitutional Amendment 1 asks if you are in favor of amending Sections 145 and 155 of the Constitution of Kentucky to prohibit persons who are not citizens of the United States from being allowed to vote in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Kentucky’s constitution already states that “every citizen of the United States” with Kentucky residency is eligible to vote in the state’s elections. Constitutional Amendment 1 is an attempt at voter intimidation and voter suppression.

VOTE NO ON AMENDMENT 1!

Oppose voter intimidation and support your immigrant neighbors. Say NO to hate and yes to democracy.
